![]() Key & Peele are currently in pre-production for the upcoming feature film, 'Keanu'. This will not be the first feature film for the comedic duo. Key and Peele will produce alongside 21 Laps Shawn Levy and Dan Levine and Principato Young Entertainments Peter Principato, Paul Young, and Joel Zadak. ![]() Script will be written by Rich Talarico and Alex Rubens, who are co-producers of Key & Peele, which returns for its fifth season on Comedy Central in July. Garvey, and Jordan Peele will portray a rival teacher determined to be the students favorite. Keegan-Michael Key will reprise his role as as the over-the-top substitute Mr. The sketch has been watched over 72 million times on Youtube and Hollywood producers are now interested in turning the sketch into a feature film. One of the biggest sketches to ever come out of Comedy Central is Key & Peele's "Substitute Teacher". But this movie should also be good, I hope.Key & Peele's substitute teacher is being made into a feature film. Are you excited to see what Key and Peele will do together on the big screen? Then watch David Wain’s Wanderlust. There’s no release date for the film yet, but production will begin soon, so I’d expect a release sometime next year. I’m optimistic about the project, but let’s just hope it’s more Wayne’s World or Macgruber, rather than The Coneheads or, god forbid, It’s Pat! I trust these guys to make things funny, even if they won’t be the ones behind the script (that will be handled by Key and Peele producers Rich Talarico and Alex Rubens). I’m willing to follow these two guys anywhere they go, even if a film based on this character isn’t something I’m particularly clamoring for. Here’s one my favorite Garvey sketch, if you want to get a sense of who the character is: Moving people’s affection away from him shouldn’t be hard. That shouldn’t be a hard thing to get though, considering how Garvey is a quick to anger man with a knack for mispronouncing names. Garvey, but Jordan Peele is getting an expanded role from the original sketches (in which he played student Tim’othy), this time around playing a rival teacher who is in competition with Garvey’s students for their affection.
